Giraffe Art & Book Sharing - The Lion King

Today, Kian Han brought a story book - The Lion King and he would like to share with the class. Therefore, I read a part of the book before we moved on to another activity for the day.

As the children had done the palm printing for the giraffe yesterday, today, they shall continue by adding in details for the giraffe picture.

As the children were almost done with the giraffe, we shall move on to another animal. According to the list that the children listed earlier, we were supposed to move on to ape or gorilla. Yet, since Kian Han brought us a book on lion, the children agreed to switch to lion first.

Therefore, I get the children to tell me some of the things that they know about lion.

Germaine: Lion has strong teeth.
Wei Xiang: Lion can crunch big bones.
Kai Yuan: Lion can sit.
Jing Zhe: Lion eats meat.
Jie Min: Lion got paw.
Umeko: Lion is from the cat family.
Germaine: Lion is the king of the jungle.
Wei Xiang: Lion head got hair. (I think he referred to "mane")
Jie Min: Lion got tail.
Umeko: Lion got scary eyes.
Wei Xiang: Lion has very scary and sharp claws.
Jie Min: Lion looks very angry.
