Worksheet - Hippopotamus

The children had gone through the facts and information about hippo yesterday. Today, we just briefly revised the facts orally. Then, I distributed the worksheet that I have prepared for today's lesson.

Just like the worksheet that the children had done for lion, they needed to cut out the answers into their bowls and waited until we could start doing it together. As the children had experience with such worksheet, this time, they could complete it much faster without much fuss.

As we still have about 15 minutes left before we call it a day, I read them a little bit more information about hippo which was not mentioned in the video. From the book, we learned that the male hippo will continue to grow while the female hippo will stop growing at the age of 25. Hippos are very aggressive with crocodiles if they have their calves nearby.

The book mentioned about crocodiles. As a result, our next topic would be on crocodile.
