Book Sharing & Elephant Drawing

Today, we were focusing on elephant. Therefore, I brought in an interesting book about elephant - The Great Cheese Robbery by Tim Warnes.

The children enjoyed the story very much. Then, I get the children to talk about their father.

Germaine: My father said he's tall and strong. He's not scare of anything.
Umeko: My father is fierce and strong.
Jie Min: My father can take me go to the aquarium to see the fish.
Wei Xiang: My father is big and fat.
Jing Zhe: MY father is very bulky.

Then, I get the children tried their best to draw a picture of an elephant on the board.

 Then, together I guided the children to tell the significant of an elephant such as having a long trunk, 2 big ears, big body etc. With such description, I drew an elephant on the board for the children to observe.

After that, I gave each of them a piece of blank paper and get them to draw their own elephant.
